Reaching out to homeless

AN ALL-OUT effort is being under taken to determine the number of homeless people across Barbados. Kemar Saffrey, the president of the Barbados Vagrants and Homeless Society, made the announcement yesterday as the organisation held its biannual feeding and outreach programme at Queen’s Park. “We’re going into the communities to reach the homeless; we want to assist others,” he said. The plan is to have key people in each community who will be able to identify any homeless so that the society can reach out to help them.
