The Barbados Alliance to End Homelessness is a charitable organization registered as Charity No. 794 under the Barbados Charities Act, CAP 243, on October 19, 2009.

The Love Day Project brought hundreds to Queen’s Park on Saturday to lend a helping hand to those less fortunate in Barbados.

Musician Terry “Mexican” Arthur, founder of the initiative, indicated that they do a number of things to assist persons at this time, such as giving to less fortunate in the neighbourhoods and communities; performing and giving gifts; and performing at the Geriatric hospital and QEH children’s ward and much more.

Partner in the Love Day Project and Chairman of the Barbados Vagrants and Homeless Society, Kemar Saffrey highlighted that activities such as Love Day Fest were necessary to give a helping hand to others.

Saffrey further commented on the Love Day Project and said “ I’m happy that every year we see it growing.”

Volunteers toiled hard – but happily – all day to wrap and give gifts, serve food , organise and distribute donated clothes, and much more in the Park.

Coporate Barbados showed its full support in helping those less fortunate. Numerous sponsors either contributed monetary donations, food and non-perishables, gift hampers, gift wrap, and much more to this initiative.

The day’s activities comprised of HIV tests, hair cuts, blood pressure clinic , food and karaoke and DJ music.
